Zoe the Zebra is the 2nd book in the bilingual series written for small children. The focus of the story is on accepting our differences and learning that being different makes us who we are, special. Full color and full size with bright beautiful water color illustrations by artist Robin Schneider.

An Excerpt from Zoe the Zebra

All the others just laughed at her and teased her because she was different.  When the other zebras ran about and chased each other Zoe was always left out.  Just because she was blue instead of white she was always pushed away.

The 1st book in a bilingual series written for small children. Emily the Elephant Makes a New Friend is a story about recognizing the unique gifts and talents that we each have, accepting our differences, and learning to use both to work together to overcome the obstacles in life. The intent of the book is to entertain, but to also provide a lesson that encourages problem solving, team-work, self confidence, and friendship at a very elementary level.

An Excerpt from Zoe the Zebra

"No”, said Bo the beaver, “I won’t play with you because you don’t look like me.”

“But why?” said Emily.

“Well, what kind of animal are you?” asked Bo.

“I am Emily the elephant”, she said with her hands on her hips.

“But your nose it is so funny!” Bo exclaimed.

“I have a beautiful nose and it is just right for an elephant!” said Emily, her bottom lip quivering.  Plainly Emily was hurt and she began to get angry.  “Anyway”, she said, “you have a very strange tail.  Not like any I have ever seen before.”

Bo wrinkled his face and tightened his fists.  “Do not!” he said.

 “Do too!” said Emily.

 “Do not!” said Bo.

“You do ….” And the thunder crashed above.

 -¡Yo, no!-  dijo.

 -¡Tú, sí-,  dijo Emily.

 -¡Yo, no!-, dijo Bo.

 -¡Tú, sí...-

¡KAAAABOOM!
