Amy Garrett Weaver
lives in Aurora, Colorado with her
family after recently relocating
from Las Vegas, NV. After
college Mrs. Weaver pursued a
successful career in Information
Technology. Now, having left the
corporate world, her focus is on
raising, nurturing and enjoying her
children. During her reading time
with them, she recognized the need
for children’s books that encourage
problem solving, teamwork, and
self-confidence. Striving to
help children embrace cultural
diversity and to encourage knowledge
of multiple languages she insisted
upon her children book series being
printing in a bilingual format with
the English and Spanish languages
printed together. Her publishing
agency embraced the idea and agreed
to cater to bilingual readers with
the new picture books. Emily the Elephant
and Zoe the Zebra were written in response to these
objectives.
In answering God's
calling on her life, she attributes
her talent and writing success to
the blessings of the Father. With a
grateful spirit and a devotion
to caring, her mission continues to
be to touch hearts and bring comfort
to as many as possible through her
projects. Though each of her
books reflect acknowledgement and
appreciation to our Lord and Savior,
her dedication to everything she
writes is sincere and constant.
Within her works,
lies a world of creativity,
introspection, awareness and
contemplation with something for
everyone, regardless the age.
These ingredients have been woven
through the tapestries she creates
to solicit individual reflection,
wonderment and consideration. We
welcome you through the door to her
mind with warm wishes of personal
identification and illumination.

Durante su tiempo de lectura, se dio
cuenta de la falta de libros para
niños que les motiven a resolver
problemas, trabajar juntos en equipo,
e infundan confianza en uno mismo.
Emily la Elefante fue escrito como
respuesta a esa necesidad.
